If your flowers are arranged in florist’s foam, top up the water daily, taking care not to overfill.
If you have received cut flowers, trim the stems diagonally about 2cm from the base prior to placing in clean water. Take special care to remove all leaves that will be underwater, as they contain bacteria that may quickly proliferate and spoil the water.
Position your flowers away from draughts, direct heat and/or sunlight. Do not place them on heat generating appliances such as TVs and microwaves.
As some flowers will last longer than others, carefully remove spent blooms, especially if other flowers in your display are still alive.

Roseville is a large residential suburb located 12 kilometres northwest of Sydney's central business district, on the Upper North Shore. The suburb is found northeast of nearby Lane Cove National Park, and north adjacent to Chatswood. Roseville Chase is a neighbouring separate suburb found between Roseville and the upper reaches of Middle Harbour.
Following European settlement, the area that constitutes Roseville today was primarily a farming district up until the 20th century. The suburb is named after Rose Villa, one of the area's first cottages, which was demolished to make way for the North Shore railway line. Roseville Station opened in 1890 and the suburb developed into a residential area in the ensuing decades, with a notable array of Federation style homes and Californian bungalows.
Lane Cove National Park is found adjacent to Roseville's western border. The suburb's main commercial shopping strips are found on Hill Street and the Pacific Highway, surrounding Roseville Station. Roseville Park and Roseville Golf Club are found in the suburb's northeast, with the latter extending into neighbouring Roseville Chase.
