If your flowers are arranged in florist’s foam, top up the water daily, taking care not to overfill.
If you have received cut flowers, trim the stems diagonally about 2cm from the base prior to placing in clean water. Take special care to remove all leaves that will be underwater, as they contain bacteria that may quickly proliferate and spoil the water.
Position your flowers away from draughts, direct heat and/or sunlight. Do not place them on heat generating appliances such as TVs and microwaves.
As some flowers will last longer than others, carefully remove spent blooms, especially if other flowers in your display are still alive.

Milsons Point is a small harbourside suburb located three kilometres north of Sydney's central business district, on the Lower North Shore. Found immediately northwest adjacent to the Sydney Harbour Bridge, Milsons Point is best known as the home of Luna Park Sydney.
Milsons Point was named after James Milson, one of the area's earliest European free settlers. Milson ran a successful business in the district supplying ships with fresh water, stone ballast and dairy and vegetables. Milson and his family owned a number of land holdings in the area, the last of which was resumed in the early 1920s to make way for the construction of the Sydney Harbour Bridge (which was completed in 1932). Luna Park opened in 1935 and its iconic entrance "face" has been redesigned and changed eight times - its current "face" was completed in 1994.
Luna Park and the North Sydney Olympic Pool are found in the suburb's south, adjacent to Milsons Point ferry wharf. Aqua Dining, at the northern end of the pool, offers fine dining with spectacular views of the Harbour Bridge and Sydney CBD. Milsons Point train station is located on the western side of the Bradfield Highway, opposite the Kirribilli Markets (which, despite their name, are located in Milsons Point).
