If your flowers are arranged in florist’s foam, top up the water daily, taking care not to overfill.
If you have received cut flowers, trim the stems diagonally about 2cm from the base prior to placing in clean water. Take special care to remove all leaves that will be underwater, as they contain bacteria that may quickly proliferate and spoil the water.
Position your flowers away from draughts, direct heat and/or sunlight. Do not place them on heat generating appliances such as TVs and microwaves.
As some flowers will last longer than others, carefully remove spent blooms, especially if other flowers in your display are still alive.

Cremorne is an affluent residential suburb located six kilometres north of Sydney's central business district, on the Lower North Shore. Cremorne and Cremorne Point are Mosman's only land-based neighbouring suburbs. Cremorne is popular among residents for its harbourside location and proximity to North Sydney and Sydney CBD.
Prior to European settlement, the area that constitutes Cremorne today was primarily inhabited by the Cammeraygal People of the Ku-ring-gai Nation - one of the largest Aboriginal groups in the Sydney area. The suburb is named after the former Cremorne Gardens, in London. The suburb featured its own pleasure garden (a 19th century outdoor entertainment venue) of the same name, which existed from 1856 to 1862.
Primarily a residential suburb, Cremorne's free standing homes and apartment blocks are located in the northern and southern portions of the suburb. Military Road, which cuts through the approximate centre of the suburb, is where Cremorne's main shopping strip and commercial establishments are found. The suburb's northern edge sits on Middle Harbour, with Primrose Park and Brightmore Reserve both enjoying direct water frontage.
