If your flowers are arranged in florist’s foam, top up the water daily, taking care not to overfill.
If you have received cut flowers, trim the stems diagonally about 2cm from the base prior to placing in clean water. Take special care to remove all leaves that will be underwater, as they contain bacteria that may quickly proliferate and spoil the water.
Position your flowers away from draughts, direct heat and/or sunlight. Do not place them on heat generating appliances such as TVs and microwaves.
As some flowers will last longer than others, carefully remove spent blooms, especially if other flowers in your display are still alive.

Cremorne Point is a harbourside residential suburb located six kilometres north of Sydney's central business district, on the Lower North Shore. Found on a peninsula that terminates at the suburb's southernmost point at Robertsons Point Lighthouse, Cremorne Point is almost entirely surrounded by Sydney Harbour, with many of its coveted homes enjoying uninterrupted water views.
Like its northern neighbour, Cremorne Point was named after Cremorne Gardens - a former pleasure park that existed in London in the 19th century. Despite the suburb's name, its terminal point at its southern end is separately named Robertsons Point, after James Robertson, one of the area's earliest European residents and father to NSW Premier Sir John Robertson. Cremorne Point was a single privately owned land holding up until the early 20th century, when it was subdivided and sold off as residential blocks.
Points of Interest
Unlike many other harbourside suburbs in Sydney, almost all of Cremorne Point's waterside land is public parkland. This allows locals and visitors to walk along the suburb's entire harbour foreshore, which runs extensively on the suburb's eastern and western sides, meeting at Cremorne Reserve and Robertsons Point Lighthouse. Cremorne Point features two ferry wharves: Cremorne Point Wharf, in the suburb's south, adjacent to Cremorne Reserve; and Old Cremorne Wharf, in the suburb's east, on Mosman Bay. Ferry services connect the suburb to Circular Quay, Taronga Zoo, and further afield.
