If your flowers are arranged in florist’s foam, top up the water daily, taking care not to overfill.
If you have received cut flowers, trim the stems diagonally about 2cm from the base prior to placing in clean water. Take special care to remove all leaves that will be underwater, as they contain bacteria that may quickly proliferate and spoil the water.

Chatswood is a major business centre and residential suburb found 10 kilometres north of Sydney`s central business district, on the Lower North Shore. The suburb`s towering business district is Sydney`s fourth largest after Sydney CBD, North Sydney and Parramatta. Neighbouring Chatswood West is a separate residential suburb, but shares the same 2067 postcode.
Chatswood was named after Charlotte "Chattie" Harnett, one of the area`s European pioneer settlers, and the original "wooded" landscape of the suburb. The area developed as a residential one from 1876, and grew with the opening of the North Shore railway line in 1890, and the opening of the Sydney Harbour Bridge in 1932. Chatswood`s business district developed significantly in the late 20th century. Chatswood West was designated as a separate suburb in 2006.
Chatswood`s thriving business district is found in the centre of the suburb with Chatswood railway station located in its western portion. The district has a number of large shopping centres, including Chatswood Chase and Westfield Chatswood, and is also home to a number of large corporate headquarters. Chatswood is also known as one of the Lower North Shore`s major dining destinations, with a significant abundance of Chinese, Japanese and Korean establishments.
