If your flowers are arranged in florist’s foam, top up the water daily, taking care not to overfill.
If you have received cut flowers, trim the stems diagonally about 2cm from the base prior to placing in clean water. Take special care to remove all leaves that will be underwater, as they contain bacteria that may quickly proliferate and spoil the water.
Position your flowers away from draughts, direct heat and/or sunlight. Do not place them on heat generating appliances such as TVs and microwaves.
As some flowers will last longer than others, carefully remove spent blooms, especially if other flowers in your display are still alive.

Cammeray is a residential harbourside suburb located five kilometres north of Sydney's central business district, on the Lower North Shore. Enjoying a picturesque waterfront on Middle Harbour, extensive parkland and enviable proximity to North Sydney and Sydney CBD, Cammeray is a much-coveted residential suburb.
Cammeray is named after the Cammeraygal people, an Aboriginal clan who traditionally occupied the Lower North Shore region. Carbon dating has indicated that indigenous people lived in the Cammeray area at least 5,800 years ago. The iconic Long Gully Bridge, connecting Cammeray to Northbridge, was rebuilt into its present-day form in 1935 and 1939. Despite the land boom of the 1880s, the suburb was slow to develop up until the 1940s, due to its remoteness from transport and steep topography.
The arresting Long Gully Bridge (also known as Northbridge, Suspension Bridge and Cammeray Bridge) is found in the suburb's northern portion, and spans across Flat Rock Gully. The gully forms the bulk of Cammeray's northern parkland, with Green Park and Cammeray Park, in the suburb's south, also offering residents open green space. Cammeray Golf Club is public access and is found in the suburb's southeastern pocket. Cammeray Square and Miller Street, to the west, are the suburb's main shopping and dining precincts.
