If your flowers are arranged in florist’s foam, top up the water daily, taking care not to overfill.
If you have received cut flowers, trim the stems diagonally about 2cm from the base prior to placing in clean water. Take special care to remove all leaves that will be underwater, as they contain bacteria that may quickly proliferate and spoil the water.
Position your flowers away from draughts, direct heat and/or sunlight. Do not place them on heat generating appliances such as TVs and microwaves.
As some flowers will last longer than others, carefully remove spent blooms, especially if other flowers in your display are still alive.

Beauty Point is a residential urban locality in the suburb of Mosman, located eight kilometres northeast of Sydney's central business district, on the Lower North Shore. The area is found in north Mosman, adjacent to The Spit, and enjoys a shoreline on Middle Harbour on its northern and western sides.
The beautiful views over Middle Harbour that the area commands are the subject of the locality's name; the area was originally known as Billy Goat Point. Despite being formally part of the suburb of Mosman, when the Mosman Council assigned Mosman as the only official suburb in the Mosman Local Government Area in 1997, the council allowed residents to continue to use their locality's traditional name. Other urban localities in Mosman that retain their traditional names and unique character include Balmoral, Clifton Gardens, Georges Heights, Spit Junction, and The Spit.
Beauty Point is entirely residential, with waterfront homes based along Middle Harbour in the area's north and west. Beauty Point Reserve, Bay Street Park and Pearl Bay Reserve are public access green spaces, and while Beauty Point lacks any beaches, Chinamans Beach, found adjacent in The Spit, is a popular swimming and sunbathing spot.
